BIO: Amanda Tong is a Colorado native. She is the youngest of four children born to Vietnamese immigrant parents. Amanda was able to pursue higher education and receive her Bachelor of Science in Biology. She had thought that medical school would be her destiny. However, she found herself less and less interested in a career in the medical field and that it was not her passion. She has skill sets in management in multiple businesses by being immersed in the Vietnamese community by aiding and managing businesses for family and friends. She has working experience at the financial aid office at the Community College of Denver, along with being a shift and sales leader throughout her college years.
With those things in mind, she decided to explore a career in business and had interned for a year with RE/MAX Professionals under Lisa Nguyen’s mentorship to see first-hand what a career in business and real estate entails. At first exposure, Amanda became fascinated with the work and lifestyle of a realtor; how their assistance, commitment, and tenacity can positively alter the lives of many individuals, like a doctor can transform the lives of their patients.
She believes that buying a home is a tremendous milestone. Without the help of real estate agents, that achievement would be difficult to impossible to achieve for some. She feels that becoming a real estate agent not only helps her provide for her parents but also allows her to help her community, especially those in the Vietnamese community that isn't fluent in English or may not be knowledgeable of the process, and help in finding them a forever home.
